One Mother’s Day, several years ago, I was invited to the home of the parents’ of one of my closest college friends for lunch. After the meal, I took a stroll through their garden and her mother Pheny noticed how taken I was with a bed of her gorgeous Itoh peonies.

The next day she insisted that my friend drive an hour to give me a bouquet of them. “Pheny’s Bouquet” is the result of that beautiful gesture.

This painting will always symbolize to me the bonds of female friendship, Mother’s Day and the unselfish love of a mother.

This 16” x 20” Giclee is an art print of an original oil painting by artist Suzanne Lago Arthur. Printed on smooth matte paper with a white border (the black outline shown in the photo is there to illustrate the border).
